Monica Bellucci is on my desk…top

Hey hey…

Went to womad last weekend with Zhak (he has more photos of it) to catch Jimmy Cliff and proved to be an entertaining night out. Contrary to some newspaper reports I read which emphasize people’s quite irrational response to the ticket pricing, food and quality of the show, I found it very well-run, organized and a fully enjoyable and diverse line-up of performances. Even though a friend of mine said Radio Mundial were really good, sadly, they weren’t performing that night. Considering the fact that we paid only $35 for a festival and the administration-hell that the organizers went through, we are lucky as my initial research of going to the Sonic Festival in Japan would set me back $185 for a ticket alone (But they have better acts in the first place so I wouldnt consider it pricey too). It’s just Singaporeans being Singaporeans…squeeze any and every amount we can get from something. Location-wise, Fort Canning is a really good place to hold such a kind of thing and it’s a great place to skate or BMX too…While relaxing on the grass with Zhak (no references to any trashy novels), I pondered that Fort Canning is a really freaky place to be without the extra 8000 bodies walking around. The trees, the underground tunnels, the forts, cannons and all the other stuff adds up to its eerieness. Thank goodness for the festival.

Some of the photos I took with my phone.

And why did the New Paper print this? Anything wrong with the picture? It’s Charlton forward Darren Bent with a bottle of water in his right hand, that’s what! Perverts!

Keep ya Hats on!
